In an article signed by Alan Johnson, the new president of IFAC, and Kevin Dancey, CEO, they emphasize the importance of global collaboration to counter the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. According to IFAC management, the pandemic tested our ability to work together, and the results were daunting. Looking to the future, issues such as climate change cannot be resolved by a single nation or a group of nations. Too many lives are lost annually due to the effects of climate change. Just as 75 years ago, after World War II, world leaders concluded that global collaboration is needed to build a sustainable and secure future, so today requires the involvement of all parties, also to deal with the problems of the 21st century.
