In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, this article provides a high-level perspective on infrastructure resilience. The dimensions of resilience related to the life cycle of projects are explored, from planning and design to construction, operations and decommissioning. This approach contributes to the understanding of how infrastructure is interconnected and contributes more broadly to building resilient communities, especially in the context of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Without being exhaustive, the article aims to draw attention to examples and observations specific to recent months to explain how infrastructure can contribute to a sustainable recovery through its innovative side.
