A new report to UNCTAD, Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on trade and development: the transition to a new normal, outlines both the economic effects of the pandemic during 2020 and the first steps to be taken towards recovery. Debt reduction, better cooperation and shorter regional value chains are some of the first policies that could ensure a better recovery from the pandemic and its crisis.
