World trade in goods recorded a historic drop in the second quarter of 2020, caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the latest Barometer of trade in goods, conducted by the World Trade Organization. Additional indicators show small increases in world trade, but the strength of such a recovery remains very uncertain. It is not possible to determine exactly whether the return will be a V-shaped one or rather an L-shaped one, which implies a long process. More information here.
